Totally loved this series. Kept me engaged through all 3 books.
As always with good things, THG came to me when I least expected it. And now I read it at least biannually. It’s my go-to for pure enjoyment and a good solid read. But now I usually skip over Finnick’s death. No need torturing myself further.

Read these just in time for the first movie. Lots of fun, but finished them in about 2 days.
The Ulitmate "Reality Game Show" Couldn't put down the first one. 2nd and 3rd books were good but I found them a little slower going. This is about a world of the future in which an uprising destroyed the world. As punishment and a reminder to the surviving districts, children's names were put in a pool and a group of 24 was drawn every year with 2 each from the 12 districts. They were to fight to the death. The whole thing was actually televised. And only one winner was to emerge-- until Katness steps up this time to volunteer to take her sisters place and finds herself paired with Peeta, a boy she barely noticed before, who she discovers is in love with her. Worth reading
Haven’t read this since 2011, and it holds up well. Still don’t love book three, but it hits different after so much time has passed.
