4.3 AVERAGE

Oh Mo, you've done it again! Adorable little book that children will love and adults will love reading. I just laughed out loud at the story. Make sure you read the "rejected titles" on the inside cover too. Great illustrations and lots of hidden things (as usual) so it will get better each time you read it.)

LOVED IT!

PB 40. I love, love, love, love, LOVE Mo Willems. He is one of my favorite children's books authors. His books are so sassy, but so down to earth. This would be a perfect book to use to introduce children to fairytales with a twist. It is from a familiar author. It is simple and humorous. It makes a great read aloud. I can't wait to use this book in my classroom.

For more reviews, check out my blog: Craft-CycleThe story of Goldilocks has been told time and time and time and time again. Each one has it's own special twist, but honestly this is the best one I have ever read.It is hilarious. Characteristically humorous for Willems, this is a wonderfully entertaining book. I really enjoyed it.The pictures are also very fun and silly. I loved looking for the Pigeon. And the details were great (the giant phone was a nice touch). Funny signs and saying throughout the pictures such as "Wipe Your Talons" on the welcome mat. Great details that really added to the overall book. Some of the text may go over young kid's heads, but I think older kids would definitely enjoy it. Amazing, fresh retelling of Goldilocks' story. Highly recommend. This is a book you don't want to miss.

HILAROUS take on Goldilocks and the three bears! More appropriate for older kids and/or adults

I was disappointed in this offering from the usually spot-on Willems. I don't think kids will get it, and thought I did get it, I didn't find it all that amusing.

We’ve read this book almost every day since checking it out from the library. It’s funny and the kids love it. Plus it’s got dinosaurs.

Very silly!
funny lighthearted

December 2016 - Ben is familiar enough with Goldilocks stories to get some of the humor, although of course some still goes over his head. Funny.

March 2019 - he really got into it this time.

We first got this from our local library and loved it so much we knew we needed our own copy. It is fun parents and children.
