Another awesome picture book from Mo Willems!! It's hilarious! Nephews are definitely getting a copy of this for Christmas, if I can wait that long to give it to them.
This is a really cute spin off of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears," about 3 Donosaurs who make their house into a bears house in hopes that a little girl will come along to steal their chocolate pudding and then they can rush in and eat her. Very funny! I think this will be a hit at story time. As usual Mo Willems added clear, simple illustrations that kids will love.
Hysterically funny. Goldilocks always struck me as a really dumb girl, and here she wanders into the wrong house.
Mo Willims cracks me up. In his tretelling of Goldilocks, everyone learns a lesson -- that little blonde girl AND the dinosaurs. Willems is great because he provides laughs for kiddos and the adults who get to read the story over and over again.
I know it's been getting mixed reviews, but I liked it. It's for a slightly older set than the Pigeon fans (though you can spot Pigeon in some illustrations); it's for Edwina fans & those old enough to appreciate a fractured fairy tale.

"And the moral is: If you ever find yourself in the wrong story, leave."
A great retelling of Goldilocks- dinosaur size chocolate included!
Mo Willems never lets me down! Hands down my favorite children's author.

This is one of my favorite books by one of my favorite authors. I love how he plays with the story of Goldilocks, and the implications of the dinosaurs’ true intentions.
Mo Willems begins his version of 'The Three Bears' just as every other version begins, with those four magical words, "Once upon a time." What immediately follows those words is what will surprise you. Instead of Goldilocks happening upon a house belonging to a family of bears in the woods, she ends up at a house belonging to a Papa Dinosaur, a Mama Dinosaur, and a Dinosaur visiting from Norway.
The three Dinosaurs went someplace Else and were definitely not hiding in the woods waiting for an unsuspecting kid to come by.
A genuinely fun take on the original tale, the book is full those drawings and that humor that Willems is known for. My kids loved that Goldilocks ate chocolate pudding in this version. I loved that when Goldilocks was introduced in the story it was as "...a poorly supervised little girl named Goldiocks."

Gave this one to Lil Girl for Christmas; and we laughed a lot when we read it together later. I love Mo Willems because he has a fabulous sense of humor (and, he has the honor of being the first author Lil Girl met in person - and got a High Five from - and the first autograph either of us every collected), and since she's a little Goldilocks herself, this book was right up our alley.
