Funniest book I've read for yonks. Hilarious!

This would be a fun read-aloud!

Goldilocks is lured into the house of three dinosaurs (one of whom is just visiting from Norway). Love the dramatic irony as we watch to see what will happen. Fun surprise endings, as in all Mo Willems books, don't disappoint. This is a good read-aloud for grade 3 and up. Younger kids will enjoy it but may not get the sardonic tone.

Read to a bunch of grade 1-3s during Summer Reading promotion. They liked it, but it's maybe a little too long to be ideal for such a visit.

Tried it this year with a bunch of grade 2-3s, and they thought it was awesome, so maybe the lesson is, grade 1s are too young to appreciate a random Norwegian dinosaur.

This is a charming spin on Goldilocks that any dinosaur lover will adore.

This book is told through satire, or a positive version of sarcasm. The dinosaurs (rather than bears) set a trap- they leave their house full of things little gold-haired girls might like, then leave and hide outside, hoping to catch and eat her. She should not enter the homes of strangers, or not eat random soup she finds laying around, but does she listen? No! So in a way, is it really the dinosaurs' fault? This is the question Willems seems to be posing.

What a clever fractured fairy tale, told with the typical cleverness we come to expect from Mo Willems, that even though not the first in a genre, it still puts a different twist to it that is so charming, even a five year old will take note!

Very funny retelling of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I am just such a big fan of anything Willems does.

Awesome, awesome, awesome children's book. Not only did it appeal to my more adult sense of humor, but my five year old and my ten year old loved it as well.
I think this is a book we're going to have to purchase for our own library.

Three dinosaurs make pudding (of three varying temperatures), set out three chairs in specifics spots, and prepare their beds for the a human to come along and hopefully become their meal. While Goldilocks isn't very bright, she makes her way out of the trap.

Mostly adults and older children will enjoy this book. Willems questions the actions of the original three bears stories.

Adorable and hilarious take on the traditional, GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS.
