I like how this book advances the plot of the overall series, but the path there does not make for as enjoyable reading as the first two books. There are several reasons for this, including the "forbidden love" angst between Jacob and Fox - I liked their relationship previously, but this trope gets annoying quickly - and the higher number of POVs that the story toggles between, leading to the pace feeling draggy. Ah well. Hopefully things will pick up in the fourth book, which is the reason I am re-reading these.

Ab und zu wirkt es ein bisschen vollgestopft .... aber das einzige was ich momentan an diesem Buch auszusetzen habe ist, dass ich auf noch eins warten muss -,- Ich dachte mit diesem Band wäre schluss. Ich war nicht begeistert von der Tintenherz-Triologie aber Reckless finde ich klasse :)

Questo libro è molto più oscuro dei due che lo precedono e questa storia - e in questo capitolo più ancora che negli altri - dimostra come ogni scelta e ogni azione dei suoi personaggi sia causata dall’amore… o dalla sua mancanza.
Purtroppo rispetto ai primi la storia di questo mi ha coinvolto molto meno… forse era perchè non vedevo l’ora di scoprire cosa sarebbe successo alla fine e perciò mi è sembrato un po' lento, con troppe avventure parallele riempitive.
Il vero motivo per cui non riesco a consigliare questo libro è la completa assenza di un finale: tutti i punti di domanda che si erano aperti all’inizio del libro e che mi facevano venire voglia di saltare le avventure “intermedie” per avere una risposta non sono stati svelati neanche un pochino.
E la cosa peggiore è che il prossimo libro non si sa nemmeno quando uscirà…
EDIT [31.10.2022]: il quarto libro è uscito in tedesco nel 2020 e in inglese nel 2021. Non so se lo vedremo mai in italiano.

Für meinen Geschmack etwas zu viele Perspektivenwechsel, aber die Geschichte ist super! Die Welt würde ich gerne mit eigenen Augen sehen, aber Jacobs und Fuchs Reise durch diese ist so fantasievoll beschrieben, dass ich den Eindruck habe, dabei zu sein.

liebe das worldbuilding in dieser Reihe sehr <3
Band 3 ist wieder besser als der 2., aber der erste bleibt unangefochten mein Favorit.
Die ganze erlelfen storyline empfinde ich als undurchsichtig und vom Ende war ich enttäuscht. Hoffe Band 4 bringt Klarheit.
Insgesamt macht das eintauchen in die spiegelwelt aber viel Freude und der schreibstil trifft meinen Geschmack.

Es ist doch recht unbefriedigend 450 Seiten lang ein Buch zu lesen ohne zu verstehen, was eigentlich eigentlich die Rahmenhandlung ist. Für ein paar Hintergründe hätte man sich ruhig noch 50 Seiten mehr nehmen können. Fazit: Nicht so nervig wie der ersten Teil, aber bei weitem nicht so mitreißend wie der zweite.
