It’s done yeah…
Idk some stories were enjoyable. Some really weren’t. Some were difficult to understand. Some were incredibly racist and I do not understand why there hasn’t been a sensitivity rewrite yet.
I did enjoy that some of the shorter stories came back or were referenced in the longer stories. It made for a nice intertwined universe. But man if this version of Arkham was real… I wouldn’t recommend living there

Howard Phillips Lovecraft (August 20, 1890 – March 15, 1937) was an American writer of weird and horror fiction, who is known for his creation of what became the Cthulhu Mythos. Virtually unknown and only published in pulp magazines before he died in poverty, he is now regarded as one of the most significant 20th-century authors  of  supernatural  horror  fiction

Didn’t understand the hype, he’s a raging racist and the writing was boring.

The father of the modern horror story! It's not always easy to separate the work from the author's frankly horrible, disgusting personality; his prejudices have seeped (quite blatantly in some cases) into his work. That aside, the stories are masterful and gripping. His ability to build up the tension so slowly you dont even notice until the blood is thrumming in your ears makes this a fast, thrilling, truly horrifying read.
