amazing! a book everyone who considers themselves a feminist should read, certainly a great introduction into combating white feminism. as an indigenous person, it provided insights into an african-american pov of feminism and topics i have yet to experience such as motherhood and pregnancy and how racism/ misogyny/ homophobia affects these experiences of women/ feminine presenting people/ anyone but cis-white-men. really enjoyed this book and the diverse perspectives it provides, specifically to those branching out into the topic of feminism from non-white perspectives.

3.5 stars! A book with a great reminder that women need to stick together to fight injustice. Whatever hurts one group will hurt and effect us all. Intersectionality is important, especially as we fight ways that patriarchy, discrimination, and colonialism have disproportionately hurt women and children.
