I can't resist Kingsolver, even when I know it's going to be a long read. This wasn't my favorite, but it was still good. I learned some new science!
Nice story but nothing special. it was actually three stories only linked very superficially. I wasn't terribly impressed.
I love Barbara Kingsolver and I loved the themes of this book but.... it's essentially three women womenxplaining for 300 pages.

What a wonderful book! When it was recommended to me it was described as “sexy farming” and I think that’s a great description. Three unique stories in one small valley. A story about love and loss and new beginnings.
Sumptuous and sexier than most of Kingsolver's books, a close second to Poisonwood Bible as my favorite.
Engrossing as always with Kingsolver. Excellent story of passion for conservation and for life.
Not as great as some of Kingsolver's books, but still a decent summery read.
Simply beautiful. I read this as a kinder gentler alternative to demon copperhead. I don’t know if it will help me in a discussion of the latter, which has been described to me in such a way that I will avoid another reading journey into the opioid crisis. This is a new favorite.
