One of my favorite books of all time. Comfort, ecology, predators, moths, and old chestnuts and brilliant words.

"Everything alive is connected to every other by fine, invisible threads. Things you don’t see can help you plenty, and things you try to control will often rear back and bite you, and that’s the moral of the story."

Wow. I'm sold on Kingsolver. She ties biology and love together so neatly and poetically that I almost want to become a farmer.

Selected for a challenge. I've liked everything I've read by Kingsolver and this was no exception (though be warned that the audiobook has chirping birds between chapters and that can be... a lot on the ears). The 3 storylines were all compelling, though I found I looked forward to one more than the others. Beautiful setting, strong characters, and generally pleasant vibes.
