I read this book for my book club. It wasn't anything I would have chosen, but I did enjoy it. The description was generally beautiful and the intertwined stories were interesting.
I found some of the characters less likeable and less relatable than others.

This took me forever. Not a lot of plot. It was slow paced but beautifully written.

A perfect book to read during the pandemic. 3 lovely stories of characters and their relationships with nature and farming in Appalachia that slightly intertwine. Beautiful and relaxing read.

Great book about intertwining lives in Appalachia. I didn’t love the first chapter but stuck with it. Barbara Kingsolver is just great at character development. A lot of characters in this book won me over with them and it’s very satisfying how they all grow together. I’d recommend it if you’re a fan of her writing in general or nature fiction.
