The art is quite good, but I couldn't feel a connection with any of the characters.

Started well but turned into some kind of ghost-kaiju-mecha story that felt fairly out of whack from where it started

A haunted house, a teenager dealing with a rocky adolescence, and lonely ghosts. You have to admit being a teenager is a time when nothing seems to make sense. With how teens struggle for an identity, it's rather believable they seem so self-conscience. They're all looking for some control over their lives... and the ghosts want some control of their afterlives.

There's how a teenager becomes dependent on the people closest to them. Sometimes without an awareness on how much circumstances affect them. The titular band are all dealing with stuff beyond their control and their breakdowns feel pretty close to home. I mean this was the 90s and I can only imagine teen life in that era.

Fucccckkkk yes!!

Solid comic. Loving the art and the coloring and the use of space and lines. Perfect!

Story is fascinating and interesting and weird and unique. I dig i t.

Will definitely be reading the others!

This has exactly the right vibes for me. A punk band, a creepy haunted house, and some truly bonkers stuff that happens. Loved it. And the art is amazing. Also has my favorite color vibes: lots of pink, purple, and teal. New favorite for sure.

The story might not be wholly original but the elements were combined in a fascinating way and I loved the artwork.

This thing is so colorful and fun—a wholesome quality that cherish its characters while putting them through one spooky disaster after another. Even when one of the teens is covered in blood, you're still like, "Hold up, is that haunted house turning into a humongous mecha?" Someone will be murdered into oblivion and you're still like, "Is that dapper sinister dude's entire head a horseshoe?" It moves quick, even in its more pensive moments. Just a romp (with blood and death).

This book is wild! It's often described as "Power Rangers meets The Shining", which may just be the least likely combination of overarching influences ever, but somehow that pairing actually works? It's not perfect - I personally would've leaned on the horror a little harder - but it's a strong first volume that definitely has my interest! I love the characters, the '90s punk rock setting, and the sheer strangeness of the story overall. I'm looking forward to more.
