Lyrically written and so engrossing I could barely put it down, it's easy to overlook slightly flat background characters in favor of the brilliant suspense and heady romance.

Honestly, if you need to get out of a reading slump, start here. You won’t put it down. It’s not this incredible literary masterpiece, but not everything has to be. This is a work of fiction that drags you into its world and helps you escape your own, no matter how dark it is.

I liked the twist and the family dynamics. This is a well written YA book, however I could have done with the stories within the story.

That’s it. After a long list of not reading 5-star books, I have come to the conclusion that contemporary reads are my favorites. Anything with a plot twist will become my favorite.
I have always been intrigued by the East Coast Wealthy Families since Gilmore Girls. One day I will visit Martha’s Vineyard. I love the intrigue of this book and the “what happened?” theme. I thought I knew what happened until I head the plot twist and my jaw dropped. I truly didn’t see it coming. Now that I think back on the hints, I get it, but it flew over my head.
This story will stay with me for awhile.
