Very readable because of the style but not a must read. Dark and revealing about domestic violence and I like that it didn't have a happy ending just to have a happy ending.

This was a book required for school that focused on a woman surviving and fleeing domestic violence. Please be cautious as you read it because it has several depictions of violence.

Brave ending to this book. Most of books with spousal abuse as the central topic, end with the abuser coming back the woman either kills him or the her new man kills the abuser for her. Boring and done way too much. However, this book showed some of the reasons women stay in these situations. Good!
