Mercy Thompson is my favorite series. I love her character, I love the other characters, and I love Patricia Briggs' writing style. If I had to pick one favorite series/writer it would be Mercy Thompson and Patricia Briggs.

The fun continues. The end was a bit weird because it felt like the story ended then started again. Perhaps it was setting up the plot for the next in the series.

I wasn't nearly as impressed by this book as the first. Mostly because Mercedes begins to pick up more and more powers/mystical abilities (she was so wonderfully strong-not-strong in the first book) and the series is already beginning to tip too far into romance with a goofy developing love...quadrangle. So I still liked THIS book for many of the same reasons I liked the first, but its direction and development make me a little afraid to continue with the series.

It’s just boring. I won’t read the 3rd book.
