The Emo Dresdenesque Fetch Phillips strikes again and strikes hard right in the feels. I was hoping this to be a bit happier book than the start of the series but no such luck. Possibly this was even the sadder of the two. And it was brilliant, heart-wrecking and raw but imaginative and wonderful. I like this series quite a lot and yet at times it was painful to read. Great world, interesting mythos and flawed but lovable characters!

Many others have written in depth reviews, so I'll just say this - the realistic conversation style and the sort of dark, sarcastic nature of Fetch are what pulled me in for book one and kept me for book two.
I enjoyed the story line, the action, and the surprises.
I do wish this was a trilogy...
