4.5 stars. Unique duel timeline story in a world full of same-same WWII historical fiction. This book highlights a woman pilot in the 1920’s in a flying race to Hawaii. The author’s knowledge of Hawaii comes through in the richly woven setting full of detail. The plot was a little slow in the beginning but I couldn’t put down the second half and finished it in one day. I enjoyed being in the world of flying at its start. Highly recommend.
