This book is a very realistic portrayal of domestic violence and the reasons so many people stay with their abuser.

I did not like the writing style. Very cringey. Also the names are bad. There were a lot of flaws in the plot.

The only reason I gave it a 2 is because I felt that the story with Atlas had a lot of potential. I just wish it was written in a completely different way.

My biggest critique is that Ryle should have had more consequences. I wish he would’ve gotten fired or something. How is an abuser allowed to have a career like that. Also there was no depth to any characters except maybe Atlas but even then we don’t get a lot of back story to what he’s been up to. It almost feels like he was just made so he can wait for her forever ? I don’t like that like she’s his only motivator ??? Idk I personally did not like that. Also there is way to many random horrible things thrown in. Horrid trauma for no reason.

I don’t think I’ll be reading anymore of her books simply because the writing is bad and cringey.

It was very interesting and a great quick read. I read it in one sitting in about 3.5 to 4 hours. Enjoyable!

Vowed to read 1 CoHo book in ifs entirety to affirm the suspicion that it wasn't for me. Worst thing I've ever read. Predictable and problematic with an air of trying desperately to "educate" readers. Also the mc is a florist who is called lily bloom.... eye roll. Mentioning the ridiculousness of that name in the book doesn't make it less ridiculous that its in the book. Nah. Nope. Not for me. Do not get the hype at all.
