This was a good book! It wasn’t  what i thought it would be about, but for what it was, it was really good! The characters were really well written too. The journal entrees weren’t just a boring story i had to force myself to get through either. I actually wanted to read them! Really good book. I could probably read it again someday too.

I’m not a big fan of all of Colleen Hoover’s works, but I would recommend this one. Definitely a worthwhile read for me.

I enjoyed this book and read it very quickly, but at the same time it was somewhat predictable - I never really felt surprised by the twists but maybe that's the point to a degree..

Will be reading the next one though, so obviously I still liked it enough!

The fact that this book is so popular just really bums me out.

Listen I know this is a stupid thing to get caught up on. But the book lost me on page 1 when the character feels like hanging out on a rooftop, uses Google Earth to look for nearby apartment buildings with rooftops, and then just like, goes to one and somehow gets onto the roof. Later we learn it’s a luxury building full of rich people penthouses. Do they not lock the building????? Is there no doorman wondering why a sketchy 23 year old is lurking around???? My immediate impression was, “ok so this author has never lived in or been to an apartment building.”

Also the fact that the character is named Lily Blossom Bloom and she owns a flower shop at age 23. And the creepy love interest is a med school student yet calls himself Dr. Kincaid and somehow is fabulously wealthy and can buy a 3 bedroom apartment ?? TMI but once I went on a date with a med school student and he used Kleenex as napkins and had almost no furniture in his rented studio apartment. So now we know the author has no concept of money or med school either.

Don’t even get me started on the teenage diary entries written as letters to Ellen Degeneres that take up half the book. Or the fact that in the diaries Lily Blossom Bloom recounts entire conversations in quotes. Oh and of course the other character names are Atlas, Ryle, Allysa, Rylee and Emmy Dori because the author apparently hasn’t met normal humans with normal names either.

This is the first and only Colleen Hoover book I’ll ever read!

9/10 recommend!! It’s an amazing book for different reasons than that I thought. it was going to be starting at chapter 10 or so.  People reading this->I would not get too dreamy on the MC 2nd love interest he will be a HUGE disappointment.?
bc the brain surgeon  abu$ed her more than once. The author’s  intentions were to grow awareness of domestic violence. Showing how abusers come like wolfs hiding in sheep’s skin; they are not obvious jokers running around throwing around  laughing gas.
This has the same feel as all the bright places (10/10 recommend). In the end I would read it one more time :))
