This book really hits home for me. My father was like Ryle. Colleen helps bring awareness to abusive relationships and how easy it is for women to stay. It is easier said than done when you love somebody so much.

This was the first Colleen Hoover book I picked up and it caught my attention right away. I am in love with Lily and needed to know what happened next. I finished this book and immediately bought "It Starts With US". I was a bit caught off guard because I had no idea what this book was about, the abuse was unexpected and I wish I knew that before reading.

What an incredible story to tell. Enjoyed the beginning, I was immediately fascinated about this world the author was building. Emotionally: A Little Life lite, ow. Blazed through this, wanted to skip past
Lily’s time with Ryle once I understood how things would turn out, and I wish there had been more of her and Atlas.

The character development for this was great.

This is more of a women's fiction than a romance, so maybe if I knew that when I started reading, it would have had 5 stars.
