Everything Leigh Bardugo does is magic.
It was almost 4 stars because there were some moments that literally put me to sleep they were so slow, but then the ending just pushed it over the edge.

Technically well written, but suffers by having underdeveloped characters, a contrived romance and in general, a lackluster plot. 

Would have been better if it was bad. Alas, it was mediocre which makes it worse. Wasted time, wasted effort. An aggressive 3 star.
