Fascinating read and I especially appreciate his "hopefully helpful" suggestions for avoiding the cognitive traps that allow us to be sucked in by misinformation and to combat it more effectively

موضوع کتاب خوب بود البته نه خیلی خوب

I found this book to be very dry and repetitive. I didn't feel that there was enough substance to the subject matter to be as long as it was. While the overall concept would make for a great book, I don't think this is the way to do it.

Interesting topic. Pretty good narrator.

What makes rational people believe irrational things?
That question has been bothering me for a long time, too.
Even though I used to be one of them myself. And in some way probably still am.
Because we all believe irrational things from time to time.

For Dan Ariely this had dire consequences though. Because some people blame him for the covid19 pandemic and he gets a lot of hate and even death threats to this day.
So he tried to understand. He tried to talk to these people. And he tried to find out what made them go down the funnel of misbelief as he calls it.

The conclusions he came to are really interesting and were great food for thought.
Highly recommend.
