The setup was really intriguing, but somewhere along the line, I think this book got a bit muddled. Not super pleased with the ending (too wrapped up in a tidy bow for me) and I wish I’d connected more with Jack. Realizing about 75% through the book that she’s 27 was a shock tbh, first because she has had so many experiences and has such great knowledge and tenacity and second because she was so naïve. Probably wouldn’t recommend, but it wasn’t horrible.
