Things just get worse for the characters in this book, until it all ends up okay. Overall, the whole thing felt like a set up for the very end. Not a lot of action.

Isabella
Could great men thunder
As Jove himself does, Jove would never be quiet,
For every pelting, petty officer
Would use his heaven for thunder,
Nothing but thunder. Merciful heaven,
Thou rather with thy sharp and sulphurous bolt
Splits the unwedgeable and gnarlèd oak
Than the soft myrtle; but man, proud man,
Dressed in a little brief authority,
Most ignorant of what he's most assured —
His glassy essence — like an angry ape
Plays such fantastic tricks before high heaven
As makes the angels weep; who, with our spleens, Would all themselves laugh mortal. [II,ii]

Measure for Measure is counted as one of the "problem plays" and that shows. There is an argument that Thomas Middleton revised it after Shakespeare's death, which might account for the issues.
It was...okay...is what I will say about it. Full of the usual Shakespearean intrigue: married-but-not-married lovers, a broken marriage contract, disguises and tricks played upon others.
It would be interesting to see this performed though.

Didn’t love this, and I was super confused the whole time.
