Wow, Aidalro really doesn't pull any punches. Instead, they punch me in the gut multiple times per volume, since clearly once isn't enough.
While I loved the gut punch this volume gave, something that's bothering me is the antagonists' motivations. Yes, we know what they're doing and how they're doing it, but readers still don't have a clear answer as to why. While I ordinarily love a slow build up to a dramatic reveal, we're nine volumes into this series and we still don't have any idea what the motivations behind this group are.
That being said, the volume itself was super fucking creepy, atmospheric, and emotional and I loved it. I'm curious to learn more about Mystery #4 as well as how Kou and Nene plan to get out of their predicament. Still a phenomenal horror series that never fails to entertain me.
