Wonderful book, it was sad and frustrating at times (the situation the caracteres were in, not the book itself) but also funny and uplifting. Nice way to start the book year.

Wholesome and heartwarming. Good intro/coming of age for ppl to want to engage with trans content. Wish Kate's character had been referred to as she or a discussion about pronouns. Also the whole character comes out right before having sex is... not a great look and I do wish cis writers would stop putting that in trans stories.

a book about trans people clearly written by a cis author. cute ending but some dodgy comments/thoughts about trans people (even from the trans characters themselves) throughout.

Author is cisgender, and some of the way she writes her trans characters feels inauthentic. She also deadnames and misgenders the main character, Kate (she/her), throughout the entire book.
