This was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to see where the rest of the trilogy goes!

This one succeeds in going back to the root of the franchise - to the partner-in-crime dynamic and murder mysteries that made the first books so endearing. It was nothing too fancy, but worked and kept you entertained while introducing the reader to the new status quo.

Maybe I’m just not in the right headspace for reading right now, but if I’m being honest I found AMFOM quite flat. The only thing keeping me reading (other than SP being my favourite book series) was the hope that maybe it would get more exciting. But nothing really engaged me;
I found the mystery lacking in terms of reader participation - either it would have been super easy to guess the killer from the get go or you never got it. Furthermore, the extra details and dimensions to the reveal and the twist kind of seemed last minute? There was very little actual clues leading up to that point, with what felt like extra information shoved in. Not my cup of tea.

Dunno if I’d recommend it, there were a few fun moments here and there but not my favourite SP book to have been released.
