Very cute Ali Hazelwood always writes books that I love my only thing is I wish there was more subplot since the main plot wasn’t extremely intricate

I actually liked the book as a whole and loved the writing (great one liners, many of the characters are hysterical and perfectly quirky), I just had such a problem with Maya.  Her behavior was *problematic*, as the title suggests, and if the roles were reversed it would’ve been a cautionary tale of light stalking and heavy sexual harassment/coercion.  BUT I do like the way they interact outside of her pressuring him for sex.

As per usual, I loved another book by Ali Hazelwood.
I was worried since Not In Love is my least favorite book of hers but this was so good. It got a little repetitive with the reasonings for the two MC to not be together, but the eventual moment of their reconciliation was worth the wait.
I really like Maya and Conor’s banter, they match up so well. Her silliness helps even out his seriousness. And his stability helps level her out when she flies off the handle. They were so good together.
Getting to see glimpses of other characters is so fun, and even not being a fan of Eli, I was happy to see his wedding to Rue.
Truly I just wanted more when I finished the book!

I’m an Ali Hazelwood lover. I really loved how she acknowledged the age difference and the implications of it, I loved learning their emotional connection, and I appreciated how imperfect Conor was. It made the relationship seem authentic and real. I didn’t not like anything in this book, I really did enjoy it, I’ve just liked other books better, hence it not being a five when I completely understand how I could be for some people. I’m also more excited to read Not in Love now!
