Very sweet but also very hot! It has amazing emotional depth and I was very invested in the characters.
I loved this. It’s a very expected hockey romance in a great way. The writing isn’t going to blow your socks off and there’s no major conflict but the characters are lovable, the spice is hot and the story is straightforward. Would totally recommend.
DNF at 33%. It was a recommended ad and Kindle unlimited, so I figured sure, it looks cute. Unfortunately, I just did not enjoy it, and decided to just move on instead of struggling through only to be annoyed.
I got 71% through and I just could not finish it. Personally the worst hockey romance I have read.
lighthearted
medium-paced

Iced Out is one of the best college hockey romance books I've read and if you've been paying attention to my reading list, you'll know I've read A LOT!
Easton and Maya are fabulous MC's, who have great banter (a must!) and sizzling chemistry
The book will make you smile so much your face hurts, as well as blushing... because & Veronica knows how to bring the heat
I can't wait to continue reading the series and will be adding Iced Out to my shelf ASAP

Initial Thoughts: I’ll start by saying that I enjoyed this one very much, beyond that, this book forced me to do a bit of introspection about what I love in a romance. I don’t want any of my observations to dissuade you. Most of you hockey smut loving friends will eat this up. Spicy, dirty mouthed yet cinnamon roll hero? Yes please. Where I stumbled with this one a bit was “Is Easton toooo perfect?” We obviously know that book boyfriends are already far and above the average “real life man” but Easton and his reactions to some things almost took me out of the story and reminded me that he was a man written by a woman. This man has no flaws. See what I mean about some of you eating this up? The perfect man is not a problem for most people. Additionally the “no 3rd act breakup” is more of a recent trend, and I, the elder millennial reader, is still adjusting to that, but this one even took that a little farther than I’m used to. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and it just didn’t.
Something I found interesting was that there was a decent amount of ACTUAL hockey focus in this one. I often see people seeking that and you’ll find it here. Whether its game accurate, I have no idea but felt accurate to my non hockey watching self.
For Reader Awareness: Literally what I observed above, the perfect perfect college aged man and no 3rd act conflict.
Recommended For: Spicy college hockey loving fans, who actually want to read about some playing of hockey and no 3rd act breakup.

This was the cutest freaking book! I loved watching Easton and Maya's love story unfold. The fact that there wasn't a third act breakup made it so much better. I didn't want it to end, I could've read 500+ pages of them.
Easton is the golden retriever of book boyfriends. He was sweet and protective, honest and vulnerable. He put in the work to prove himself to Maya and it was all completely worth it. Maya was a bit more reserved. She had a lot going on in her life between school and family. I loved her, her personality, and the mental health representation.
I'm so excited to see which Heston players will get a book!
