Easton Blake’s only worry is hockey and making the NHL draft, he doesn’t have time for woman. Until he sees Maya Donnelly one day and want her. Only thing is Maya is his biggest rivals sister and has sworn off hockey players. She’s immune to his charms. But Easton can’t seem to stop thinking about her and will do anything to show her she should give him a chance.

This is a new to me author and call me a fan. This book was so enjoyable. I laughed and giggled through it all. Easton becomes such a sap for Maya. I love the cheesy and hot pick up lines and how he continually gets shot down. He knows that he has to keep trying because a girl like her only comes around once.

Mayas been burnt before and she refuses to let anyone do that again. But when Easton Blake keeps showing up and showing her there’s more to him than his reputation she’s powerless to say no. Her character was amazing and I love how they become friends that graduate to lovers. They have such a open and honest communication in their relationship. Easton doesn’t let Maya push him away. And NO THIRD ACT BREAK UP! We love a couple who talks. And Easton shows up for Maya and shows her she is what counts.

This found family trope is such a good one. I love this group of friends and the scenes they have between each other. I had such a good time reading this book!! Definitely recommend for a spicy hockey romance.

5/5 ⭐️

It’s been a while since I’ve read a sports romance and this did not disappoint!!
Easton is on track to make it to the NHL when he finishes college and loving every minute of it.
Maya is on track to graduate early since it’s been her goal to have her Grandpa see her Graduate College.
OH by the way Maya is the sister of Easton’s biggest rival on the ice…Of course Easton doesn’t know this when they meet and it actually took him longer than I expected to work it out. Maya has some serious issues with dating Hockey players since her ex is a total douche and teammates with her bother so she’s basically surrounded by HOckey
Easton is drawn to Maya like nothing he’s ever experienced and is determined to break down her walls and let him in because in life you’ve got to take every chance, every opportunity and make the most of it.
I really enjoyed this story. Easton is one of those actually good guys who is the tough jock but also sensitive and devoted. Maya is so sweet and one of those girls that you could be BFF’s with just from meeting her once. This book touched on a topic that’s still an open wound for myself but everyone can relate and you really feel what she’s feeling when things go sideways but Easton is there to help her through it like an awesome boyfriend would.
Definitely check this out when it releases May 8th!

I enjoyed this!

Unfortunately I can't remember what it was that made me drop 2 stars from this read. I don't have many highlights to remind me. I loved that the hero had taken in a stray cat (it's a nice change from the definite focus on dogs that you find in romance books ... go kitties!).

I must say that I didn't really like the book cover. I know that shouldn't matter, but every time I saw that cover I sort of flinched. That wasn't what made me drop the book rating though, I know that at least. :)

Okay, I just went and had a look at some other reviews and now I remember that it was a definite case of insta-love in this book, and not much happened to challenge the couple throughout the entire book. So yeah ... not much of a journey of ups and downs for them.
emotional hopeful sad tense medium-paced

i enjoyed the lack of a third act breakup but it did feel like it lacked a bit of angst.

i really liked easton and maya together though. i do wish she built more on the rivalry between mayas brother and easton as i feel it was advertised as like the premise of the book but i still throughly enjoyed it

I've really fallen in love with this series. The setting, the brotherhood, the friendships. It's just brilliant. Can't wait for more books and to meet more of the hockey team up close.

Ekkkks. I do love a good hockey romance and when I heard Veronica was about to dive in it the trope I knew I couldn't wait. This book was amazing. Easton saw Maya in the enemies color at a home game. There was an instant connection and he want to know more. This book had so many good moments. We did see alot of hockey moments too which is nice. This book was a wonderful read and I love their journey.
