WOW!!! This book had me hooked from the very beginning. Any kind of hockey romance you can sign me up for, and this was nothing short of my expectations. Easton freaking Blake y'all!!! I could not put this down it was just that good. This book had me crying, laughing, and swooning throughout the whole thing. Easton reminds me of Nate Hawkins and that alone had me falling even more in love with this book.

Maya was burned by her ex who just happened to be a hockey player so she has now sworn off all hockey guys, until Easton comes along. There was no miscommunication in this which I LOVED!! The aspect of grief in this book because I understand how Maya felt. Grief is never a one way street it has tons of twists and turns which I think Veronica showed that perfectly within this book.

This deserves all 5 stars and more! If you love hockey, forbidden romance, and he falls first this is THE BOOK for you!

Wow⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, [a:Veronica Eden|19791446|Veronica Eden|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1575736252p2/19791446.jpg] knows how to write the perfect hockey player boyfriend. Easton is the model boyfriend that we all lust after.

I enjoyed this book. It is now the third I have read from Veronica; the previous was the prequel to Heston U Hotshots, [bc:Trick Play|195584168|Trick Play (Heston U Hotshots #0.5)|Veronica Eden|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1690987801l/195584168._SY75_.jpg|197369081]and [bc:Matching All the Way|203244472|Matching All the Way|Veronica Eden|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1701764533l/203244472._SY75_.jpg|100106614]]. Common observations between the two full-length books I have read (Trick Play is a novella), are that they are well written, the characters are well developed, the spice is GOOD,

It got off to a good start but started to drag. I'm tired of miscommunication, other women, breakups.... so it was nice to read a book where I didn't encounter any of that BUT... it was just too long. I didn't need so many everyday details. It would have been a much nicer story overall if it was about 50 pages shorter. I started skimming the last 80% just to finish. There was a little bit of drama from Maya's ex that seemed like more could have been done with it but didn't seem to really go anywhere.

I wanted to love it, but it was just ok for me. Easton literally falls for her the second he lays eyes on her in the middle of a hockey game. He’s a lovely boyfriend though, and I loved all the ways he made her feel safe and cared for. I wish there had been more to the whole “her brother is his rival” thing… it really wasn’t a big deal AT ALL in the book.

It was a good way to pass the time and be distracted.

Super cute romance. As far as college hockey romance, this is a good one. It’s got a great storyline and the characters are super adorable and cute!
