Oh my goodness! Back in the Country was such a sweet story!! This reminded me of a Hallmark movie that consumes your little heart, and you can't stop watching; well, you cannot stop reading! I cannot believe this was her debut novel.
Waylon and Marlee stole my heart!! This book will make your little heart smile, and it has the perfect amount of spice that will warm your soul! This book had everything I wanted, from a small-town romance and more.
I am not going to lie; I got a little teary-eyed during some parts of this book, and that ending was PERFECTION!

I absolutely loved this?!
Even with the storyline being set up and the ending predicted from the get go, the pacing was perfect and there was still just the right level of tension at the right point.
I adored Waylon and Marlee together, & him calling her baby from the get go?? *swoon*

Have you ever met someone whether romantic or not and it was like finding the other part of your whole. That's how Waylon and Marlee are, even if you take the romance out, these two have such a deep tethered soul connection they were always meant to be two parts of a whole.

This novel was entertaining. I loved all the characters and the writing flowed beautifully.
The only thing I would have loved to see more of if h and H falling in love. They were already in love by the start of the book so we didn't get to see any development that way.

Back in the Country is Alexandra Hale's debut novel and the first in her Clementine Creek series. Marlee and Waylon have lots of history, but are meant to be together. Waylon needs to get past some guilt and Marlee needs to be sure that all the men in her life trust her to make her own decisions. She is grown up and successful, although these guys have a hard time seeing it. Marlee finally stands up for herself and both Waylon and her brother realize that they have done her just a bit wrong. Luckily, Marlee is a girl who can forgive!
I loved this small town steamy romance and can't wait to meet the rest of Clementine Creek!
