It was still such a good book and I would recommend it to anyone who is just starting to get into romance and is unsure of what to read. I think Darcy started with the potential of an amazing and strong woman, but it felt like it was quickly diminished after we didn't hear any more of her work or quirky ways.
I am still slightly confused on how half the book managed to happen even though both of them had feelings for each other and had admitted it to each other as well.
But regardless, still a really enjoyable book.

I also think Thorne has tried to put all the tropes into the book, and naturally didn't have enough time to fully explore all of them satisfyingly, so there are certain things that just seemed a bit out of left field or that is was added as an afterthought...
All in all, its a sweet and fun book, and I think it checks most of the boxes of what you want from a romance read

The chemistry was also missing for Darcy and Tom. Thorne repeatedly emphasizes that they are very into each other, but I can't see why. They seem to have nothing in common, and there's no real spark between them. This book seemed to be trying to embody the "friends to lovers" trope, but the friendship before the romance didn't feel genuine.
Thorne is clearly a talented writer, but this was a big miss for me.
