The basis of this story is the only reason I finished it. The main character is annoying, childish in fact and nothing really happens in this book. It takes half the book for her to tell anyone she has the the gene. I was frustrated most of the time, wishing it would just end. I don't know that I will read the rest of the series. I mean, who writes an entire book, where little to nothing happens and nothing is resolved and actually gets it printed? This lady did.

Nachdem ich die Hörbücher zur Edelsteintrilogie seit Jahren ständig auf repeat habe, war die Neuauflage der perfekte Anlass, die Bücher seit ihrem ersten Erscheinen noch einmal in physischer Form zu lesen. Und selbst wenn sechzehn Jahre dazwischen liegen, liebe ich es immer noch ♡ Ein objektives Rating ist mir dank Nostalgie wohl nicht möglich, ich habe mich einfach sehr über die kleinen Ergänzungen in den Epigraphen gefreut (besonders den Fingerzeig in Richtung Vergmissmeinnicht!). Auch wenn Gideon gar nicht mal so toll ist, liebe ich einfach die ganzen Zeitreisevibes und selbst wenn die Neuerungen nicht so umfangreich waren, finde ich sie gut. Diesem Buch fehlt eigentlich nur Xemerius ;)
