i found it to be very well written and captivating. as always margaret atwood delivered in writing a female character!! i really appreciated her characterisation of grace marks. i also found it quite interesting from a social and psychological point of view.

Top notch writing and structure, of course, it is Margaret Atwood. There are some wonderful passages but I did not love this book. It felt long and I was ready for it to be over.

I enjoyed this book but it didn’t enthrall me the way I hoped it would. If you want some satisfaction in the ending, you won’t get it. I thought the solution was lazy, especially for Margaret Atwood. But it is certainly sensational. Also, the plot is very slow and drags. Other than that, it’s an interesting story with incredible symbolism and a poignant use of thematic structure.

Welp, it took 12 months to read the only book (that wasn't a re-read) that I actually loved this year. Idk if it's just because going on a religious mission for 18 months made me too prudish or what, but 2022 was a rough year for reading.

Also, I've decided that I need to move to Canada
