An interesting book. I always enjoy books that explore the idea of what it means to be human. There are flaws in this book, and I could nitpick. But overall it was interesting and enjoyable. As for the audio production, there were times when the voice felt a bit young so that it felt jarring for me.
3.5 stars, rounded up.

In the not too distant future, teenaged Jenna wakes from a coma with a lot of unanswered questions. Fairly forgettable book, though it was perfect

Interesting and readable.
Plot had twists and turns. However I feel maybe it was a bit pretentious and thought its twists were cool and amazing but actually it became confusing at points.
Overall, a compelling and unique novel that was easy and quick to read.

Jenna Fox emerges from a coma after an automobile accident, unsure of who she is and what her life before the accident was like. As she watches videos of her life and begins recovering snatches of memory, Jenna begins asking questions that ultimately lead her to a series of startling revelations about identity, ethics and the lengths to which parents will go for the love of their children. I know I'm coming to this novel a bit late, but it was worth it. On its own terms, this is a fine bit of science fiction that may be closer to science fact than imagine. Like (SPOILER ALERT) A.I., knotty questions about technology, identity and bioethics are explored thoughtfully. As a vehicle for content area instruction, this is a great piece of YA literature for integrating science and language arts (as I know it has been used by creative teachers recently). Now to catch up with the sequel!
I'm sensing a new trend in YA lit with brain and body transplants. This title deals with similar issues. I'm not so much a big fan. I couldn't suspend my disbelief.

Rather clumsily done, I thought, and abrupt. And also predictable.
Very good book. Suspenseful, unpredictable and though provoking.
Interesting teen sci-fi. Jenna Fox awakes from a coma to realize she is not who she thinks she is. Set in the unknown future, the story focuses on the fall out from antibiotic overuse and genetically altered foods among other scientific advances in our society. Quick read.
Really well-written and interesting. The writing style grated at first, but it was really appropriate and I loved seeing how it changed along with Jenna over the course of the book. Some really great ideas in here, really well explored. I loved the ending, and chose not to read the epilogue.
