This did not need to be a 500+ page book. There were a lot of flashbacks to The Bronze Horseman and flashbacks to Alexander’s life before the war that caused the story to drag a bit. I almost didn’t finish it but I needed to know what happened with Tatiana and Alexander. By the end, I was glad it was over. From reading reviews of the third book, I don’t think I’ll be finishing this series.

4.75, just because there were so many flashbacks that got a little annoying to read.. other than that this book is perfect!

Abandoned. Too many flashbacks made it very disjointed.

Oh. My. Gosh. Totally exhausted after reading this book! I think I held my breath the whole time! So hard to read - Stayed up way too late every night. Have to take a break with an "easy" book before I read book 3. Plus, I don't want it to end.

I loved it. It made me feel so many emotions.

I will post a review of the trilogy once I am done with the other two books.

I will, then, post the link here.

Update: The review is up on Hina Loves to Read

Like the first one in the bronze horseman series I couldn’t put this book down.

Tatiana and Alex continue to live their lives apart. Tatiana finally reaches American only to give birth to her son. They keep her in a hospital in Alcatraz and she ends up joining the team.

Little Anthony does rounds with her and they become part of the hospital. She befriends a nurse and a doctor and they help shape her life and get them citizenship.

She continues to live with the fact that Alex is gone however deep down she has hope he’s alive. Love has a way of bringing people back together. Love always wins!

Not as exciting as the first one, but still amazing :)

Way too much rehashing the previous book for the first 50%, and by rehashing, I mean retelling the entire story and elaborating on back-story that was already fully developed in the previous book. After the story dragged on for 200 pages, the end was nail-biting at least.
