this was too corny for me - like something I would have written in junior high

I enjoyed the writing for the most part, and if the tone from the beginning of the book has continued through the rest of the book then maybe this could have been closer to 3 stars for me. This one wasn't for me but I know there are people out there who will love it.

This was my first read by Jenn McKinlay and it won’t be my last. It was a steamy book that was perfect for a book nerd. I loved that the male character was the reader and I also loved the attention McKinlay brought to dyslexia. I learned something by reading it. It’s a perfect summer read!

3.5 ⭐️ quick and easy read with a perfect summer whirlwind romance. I loved the characters - especially the interacting between Sam & Ben, Sam & her brother Tyler, and Sam & her BFF Emily, but got distracted a bit by Ben trying to find his father. Something just didn’t flow smoothly with the storyline for me. And Ben’s mom
