Tellement longtemps que j'attendais ce livre ... Ian a toujours été l'un de mes chouchous dans les autres séries de l'auteur et ENFIN le voir succomber, j'avoue que j'avais hâte =D
Ce que j'ai particulièrement aimé :
- Veritas et Ian ensemble ... <3
- l'intrigue autour du démon, des secrets de Veritas (OMG son identité !!!) ...
- LA FIN !! Tellement choupis <3

Ce que j'ai un peu moins aimé :
- trop de gore >< Bon OK les vampires sont quasiment immortels mais quand même !!
- la scène où Cat, Bones et compagnie débarquent pour demander des explications ... Ça faisait un peu trop fake

Bref, j'ai HYPER hâte d'avoir la suite =D

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I waited for this for SO LONG ... Ian has always been one of my favorites in the other series of the author and FINALLY seeing him succumb to love, I must admit that I was very eager =D
What I particularly liked :
- Veritas and Ian together ... <3
- the plots around the demon, the secrets of Veritas (OMG her identity !!!) ...
- THE END !! So cute <3
What I liked a little less :
- too much gore >< OK vampires are almost immortal but still !!
- the scene where Cat, Bones and company arrive to ask some explanations ... It was a little too fake
In short, I'm SO looking forward to read the next book =D
It took me a while to get into this book. I like Ian's character but Veritas was more difficult for me to relate to. It could be that the audiobook narrator's accent for her was distracting, but also I think I struggle with believing a person as old as she is could be normal or relatable. I think that I'll have to re-read this one in print form before I continue on with the series (when it comes out). I did like the storyline with her father, and getting to see all the characters I love again.
Som jag hade väntat på att äntligen få läsa om den lite irriterande och charmiga Ian men på något sätt hade jag hoppas på så mycket mer. Kändes som hans historia borde ha varit så mycket mer än vad den gav. Samtidigt så är relationen mellan Veritas och Ian ganska tråkig, ser inte alls vad som ska göra att man ska heja på att de två ska bli tillsammans. De båda är lite dryga mot varandra och helt plötsligt ska det vara kärlek? Visst jag kan tänka mig att deras personligheter på något sätt kanske passar, men jag vet inte, jag hade hoppas på så mycket mer för Ian.
As great as I knew it would be.
I was so excited to read Ian’s book and now I’m ready to devour the next. It was so much more than I could have imagined. Absolutely loved it.
I went back to re-read / re-listen to this series because I saw that our infamous pain in the behind, Ian was finally getting his books. I loved going back into the Night Huntress Universe. These books are laugh out loud funny, heart wrenching, steamy, bloody, crazy well written, novels. Each one brings you deeper into the Night Huntress world and if I could live there, I’d bounce out and into this world SO FREAKING FAST!!!!!!!
Now a good book is a good book, but when you add in a next level narrator with the amazing writing and storytelling that is Jeaniene Frost – bro- that’s when magic happens. And this is what the Night Huntress universe is with narrator Tavia Gilbert. NEXT LEVEL MAGIC. I will forever LISTEN to these audiobooks because Tavia has completely raised the bar on audiobooks for me. Each characters voice ( Bones, I’m listening to you, handsome) is utterly FANTASTIC. I’m obsessed. Obviously, you can tell from all the CAPS that keep popping up here. From Cat and Bones, Mencheres and Kiera, Vlad and Leila, Spade and Denise, to each supporting character and every villain – I’m here for it. HERE. FOR. IT. I want Tavia to narrate my LIFE after listening and re-listening to these books. Anyway – there’s not a bad book in this series, which is rare, and what’s even better – I can listen to them YEARS later and still laugh out loud at these characters. They’re amazing. Jeaniene is amazing. Tavia is amazing. It’s AMAZING.
If you’re an audiobook listener – check these out because they’re top notch. So So Good. I’m so excited to get back into this world with Ian’s story. GIMME!!!!!
One of my favorite authors is Jeaniene Frost. I've loved her books from Cat and Bones to Ian and Veritas. Their book doesn't disappoint. Something that I do like about Ms. Frost's books are how they all connect.
Shades of Wicked is Ian's story. We met Ian during the trials of Bones and Cat. After selling his soul to a demon to bring back his sire, Veritas finds him first in order to use him as bait.
There are tons of twists and turns that were added, from the true nature of Veritas and how Ian actually is and not the playboy ass that everyone thinks he is.
