The weakest Moers so far. Too many smart asides by the author and not enough plot. But I'm spoiled by Moers. Everything else that he writes is excellent.

Das war jetzt ein ständiger Wechsel aus: Ganz ok und richtig gut. Mein Lieblingsbuch wird es sicherlich nicht, ich bin aber aufgrund der Figur auf den nächsten Band gespannt. Da muss aber ein bisschen Pause zu diesem hier liegen >.<

Das war definitiv nicht schlecht, aber nach 13 1/2 Leben des Käpt'n Blaubär schon etwas,, meh. Es wechselte öfters von echt gut zu nur in Ordnung, und ich muss sagen das ich von der "Mythenmetzschen Abschweifung" echt kein Fan bin.

This book starts like a normal fairytale: harmless, imaginative and filled with tropes. But and some point the narrator starts to go on gigantic tangents with have sometimes more, but most often than not less to do with the actual story. Then they get saved, but find out that is was only a dream, at which point, nothing in this book makes any sense. That and because it has a shorter length than other Zamonia tales, make its conclusion only feel half as satisfying than Walter Moers' other books.
