I closed this book shut and the first thing I did was text my girlfriend how lucky I am to live in the era of being able to choose her and love her so freely and loudly.

This book absolutely gutted me. I loved reading Lucy grow up, fall in love, weigh the pressures of the expectations around her, and the full journey of deciding who she is on her own. This was an epically beautiful story.
