I can't give this book less than 3 stars, because it was better than the last 2, but there was still cringe worthy writing, references & metaphors that had me grinding my teeth, rolling my eyes and honestly almost breaking out in hives. It had potential for more, but I'm now honestly convinced that the writer is a one trick pony.

All her heroines have passive aggresive issues, all her heros we're told are assholes or have trouble feeling, but are not shown that. I hate it when we get told who someones is instead of shown. It seems like lazy writing to me.

Definitely a lot more drama than the last book, but honestly I was here for it

As the ending of the Boston Belle series, I was really excited for this book. I adored Emmabelle in the other stories so I knew her getting the last book would be something monumental. She was so mysterious in the other books, always so supportive to her friends but never really allowing them to be there for herself. Nothing ever phased her, she seemed so badass. Reading her story made me sad because of what she went through, I couldn’t blame her for being a ball buster- she 100% had a reason to be one with the history and everything that she went through. It still made me sad to see everything she went through, sometimes I just wanted to shake her character and say YOU ARE LOVEABLE, DO AN ELSA AND LET IT GO!! I loved that Devon was British royalty because I am 100% a sucker to books about royalty. Love stories about royalty is 100% my jam. The whole story was pretty great- the angst was real. All the miscommunication, the longing, all of it got to me. Halfway through reading this book, I cried because I just wanted Belle to be happy and it wasn’t happening because her and Devon were being idiots. Overall, I enjoyed this story - the addition of the other Boston Belles and their men were awesome because I also love their characters. I’m sad to see the end of this series, but looking forward to whatever else LJ Shen is cooking up next. Her series are always so excellent!

The crown jewel of the Boston Belles series, LJ Shen saved the best for last! Emotional and witty, these complex characters compliment one another and bring all the feels! Five stars for a highly satisfying finale!

Could not stand his family - what a horrendous bunch of people lol

I was not that invested in their story tbh. The relationship fell flat since they spent most of the time apart and dealing with OW/family drama rather than building a relationship? Idk.

- he’s sleeping with other people AFTER she got pregnant…
- I really don’t like either of them
- WHY DOES HE KEEP ADMIRING LOUISA WHEN THIS IS A LOVE STORY FOR BELLE
- he’s dating someone else???? WTF
- he tells the OW he FANCIES her 50% into the book???? Wtf is this
- he buys an engagement right for the OW. Then gets a blowjob by her. Can’t finish. Goes to Belle. And has sex. No washing up??? Ew.
- he’s mad thinking she might be with another man??? I really wished she was.
- for all the sexually liberated woman belle was, she comes across really weak.
- the fact that there’s no OM. If Devon did all these things then belle should also be sleeping with others. Wtf.
- I literally don’t care above their backstories. It’s sad but it makes no difference for me about their characters and does not change my mind about them. God at 30 and 41 they act like 18 year old.
- you’re being stalked, your life and the baby you DESPERATELY wanted to have is at risk. So when the guy you’re falling in love with and have shared secrets that NO ONE ELSE KNOWS, says you need to go to the police about the stalker, your response is “you can’t tell me what to do”. WHAT THR HELL
- ….she took the money. At 75% into the book. Trash.
- SHE proposed to HIM
- this entire book, I called her STEVEN in my head. The ENTIRE BOOK

I can’t believe this is the woman wrote Pretty Reckless and Angry God. I liked those.

This author used to be auto read for me. No background check, just go straight into the book.

But this was my last straw. I will not be reading anything by her again. And that’s unfortunate. But I’ve been burned too many times with her. Ew. Just ew to so many things.

Devon and Belle were absolutely infuriatingly beautiful!! Yes I said that !
This one was long awaited and delivered all the feels and steam we needed . Plus side of the audio , the accent ! Belle and Devon start with their on again off again fling , running into an arranged relationship.
Issues noted are infertility, reproduction issues and sexual abuse of a minor , and violence.
I hurt for Emmabelle so hard but loved her strength and bad ass journey to rise above . Loved seeing her dark side as well as her vulnerable side . Devon and his royal issues were very busy and his family are a bunch of Assholes . Devon is an old softeyyy lol love him ! We still see some of the old crew and I enjoyed the sneak peaks back into their lives . Boston Belles forever :)

There’s nothing you can do or say to make me see you as more than what you are. A spoiled little rich boy who ran away from home, but never really escaped the golden cage. You finally found the one thing you cannot have—me—and if it kills you… Well, then die.

Seriously, though, this is all on me. All these "nope" moments and I kept reading these books.

Better than a “meh”, but no better than “I liked it”.

There was a incredible amount of poor communication throughout the book, which really weighed on my final opinion. Both characters are guarded with past trauma, which felt well incorporated, but it was strange to me how poor their communication skills were, with each other and their respective friends/family.

This was a nice ending to the series, but I’m ready for a book to wow me again.
