I finally read this classic. I think if it weren't billed as the greatest psychological thriller ever, I would have enjoyed it more. Halfway through the book before that part really started and honestly it didn't suck me in that much. But overall, a good story as long as you remember the time period in which it was written.

This is a story that I continually go back to reread. Never disappointed. I first read the novel in high school. Now I want to teach the novel, but never can seem to find the time.

At first I was wondering why Du Maurier spent so much time describing the characters and surroundings but it all comes together in the end! A remarkable novel which everyone should read!

The first half of the book is very slow paced and really takes its time to build up the plot, but the second half of the book makes it worthwhile, especially the ending!

Super good story, started off kinda slow but was really good at drawing you in with mystery by the time I got half way done I couldn’t stop! The writing was also good so it was easy to get through the slower parts.
