DNF after page 55

The main character Rosie was definitely more mature than Lina from The Spanish Love Deception making this a much better read. She and Lucas had great chemistry and a wholesome friendship that made reading enjoyable. I loved how Lina and Aaron were in part of the story and we got to see their dynamics as friends. I would recommend this to any adult romance reader wanting a quick story.

I was in such a huge reading slump which is why this took me so long to read this but I finally ✨FINISHED✨

I’m ngl I was more than half way through and I was tempted to dnf this book but I didn’t because I felt like when I got closer to the end it would be so worth it and I was absolutely right, I got about 73% through and that’s when I really started loving it. I was determined to finish it.

I think I may have loved this more than TSLD just because I loved both povs and just the chemistry between Rosie and Lucas was just

The longer I sit with this book, the more it becomes just okay. It was definitely cute and it did have me kicking my feet and giggling at some of the stuff Lucas would say to Rosie. But in the end this for me was a feel good book that required zero thought and gave me everything I needed when I needed a cheesy Netflix romcom in a book. With that being said I also did not need the subplot of the brother, Olly, it felt like a weird diversion and interruption of the main plot. I did however, need way more of Taco.

No.

i feel like elena armas tried to put as much tropes and clichés as possible into this book. i loved ‘the spanish love deception’, but this just wasn’t for me.
