Powerful language, powerful messages, made even more powerful by the fact that I was listening to the poet himself. If you read this collection, please listen to the audiobook.

This is a book of poetry about being a Black gay man with HIV in America. Some of the poems were beautiful and had really clever use of language, but other than a few standouts I felt like a lot of them were very similar to each other.

Haunting, gut-punching poetry about being Black, queer, and HIV-positive.
