This book is the story I have been waiting on - a really great story following the events of the last episode of the show. I hadn't in the least been disappointed by this story, far from it. The characters were well respected in their actions, their way of speaking and their relationships with one another. The plot is just near perfect, at least I found it was a very plausible 'what could happen next' story. I've also found in it this good humour that made Stargate a unique show, mixing angst and science fiction with lighter subjects. I may not be a totally objective reviewer on this, but if you like Stargate Atlantis you'll probably like this book.

Overall Good
I felt the book was good overall. I liked that it picked up right where the show left off and on a logical way. I did notice some typos, which is why I knocked a star off. I also felt that sometimes the characters would be acting a little out of character. Otherwise a fun read and I look forward to reading the next one.

Good book although the shift in John and Twyla’s relationship was unexpected given the TV show. You can tell that the authors love the source material.

Like myself, many Stargate Atlantis viewers were disappointed that the Atlantis tv show ended without a definitive conclusion. This being book 1 in the Legacy series is great continuation to the Atlantis story, that Stargate fans have been looking for. I am excited to read the rest of the books in this series

The thing I like about this is that the authors clearly love Atlantis as much as the fans do. However, as usual, they also bring their own interpretations to the work, which is a little unsettling to a fan who knows the canon.
It could be a little tighter written, and I'm half way through the book, and still no idea about any sort of real conflict. Our main characters have had no real agency which gives the book a boring feeling of just- floating along.
I'll keep reading it, but I really hope it picks up.

I binge-watched Stargate Atlantis before Netflix was a thing. In desperation for more, I stumbled across this series of books, only to discover that my library only had the first two--the rest were e-books or print-on-demand. One of the first things I did when I had the discretionary funds and an e-reader was to buy the entire series.
Homecoming picks up where the series left off, and it ends on a major cliffhanger. This is the best kind of fanfiction, officially sanctioned and true to the show and the characters. (DO NOT come at me with your anti-fanfiction arguments. We will never agree.) I really enjoyed the beginning of my read/re-read through the Legacy series.
