I knew fit would read differently, but I can tell very much how I liked the others more than this one, and this one is so short. It's still good anyway.
Revisited this entire series via Hoopla audio, as I wanted a clear frame of reference before I read Prairie Fires. The audio series is delightfully read and as I already knew the basic plot points of the series I was able to listen at high speed. Did not remember how dark and depressing this final book/novella is!
Choppy, unfinished, and a different voice from the rest of the books. An obvious posthumous publish that sincerely wasn’t necessary.
My poor babies went through so much — I am so happy to be able to spend a bit more time with Laura and Almanzo but it’s a short, bittersweet four years
As a kid all I wanted was for them to go back to town since they clearly could not get the farm off the ground...
When your power goes out, this depressing book is quite comforting.
I’m sad. This was the last little house on the prairie book in the series and I FINISHED it. I know that a book series has to end at some point, but I crave more. The book itself was ok, but I liked some of the previous ones more. Overall it was good, but I’m sad.
