I prefer the original version of this book, way more effective and way more fun. I was laughing my butt off with the first one, this one? Not one laugh. This was just watered-down and super boring and I don't see why this book was created. Not recommended.

I chose to read the child friendly version to Camila. She did not seem amused.

This is a short book, maybe 20 pages. I don't have small children at home anymore but I can remember feeling this way. It made me laugh. Recommend to mothers struggling with getting their little ones to sleep.

This is the children-friendly version of the book "Go the **** to Sleep*

I read this to my children. I believe it's more or less the same wording as the original version, except, of course, for the last line on each page containing profanity.

I read this to my three little ones aged 7, 8 and 10. They're at the age where their senses of humour are well developed and they could enjoy the gentle teasing nature of this book. They could also recognise many of the scenarios featured because, let's face it, they've also tried every trick in the book to delay going to bed by another few minutes! Didn't we all?

Recommended for ages 4-10.

I won a copy of Seriously, Just Go to Sleep from Net Galley.

Having previously read Go the F@ck to Sleep, and loving it, I was happy to hear that a child friendly version was coming out. And I was even happier to have won a copy! We all have those moments when we think "Seriously?! Why won't you just check out for the night?!" and I have them more often than not, being a parent to a 3 yr old. Every night is the same, wanting a drink, going to the bathroom, one more story, etc. IT NEVER ENDS!!! Although I love my child dearly, and would never do anything to harm her, at times I find myself wondering if the parents that joke about using benadryl really aren't joking. Seriously, Just Go to Sleep has given me a book I can read to my daughter, and point out the issues we have with going to sleep, all the while laughing. She has started saying "Seriously Mom, just go to sleep!" with a giggle tagged on to the end. Yep, we love Adam Mansbach in our house. And I'm happy to see that our house isn't the only one facing bed time woes

This was a cute, quick read of my favorite non-children's children's book written for actual children. Beautiful illustrations, but definitely not as great as the original.

This is the cleaned up version of Adam Mansbach original book Go the F*%# to Sleep, but it is still a book aimed a tired, harried parents not at their babies and/or toddlers. I suspect all parents have been pushed to the point that the parents in this book have reached (I know I have on occasion, but luckily my Kiddo was pretty good about going to bed), but somehow I just didn't find this book very appealing, and although the illustrations were very nice, words and text just didn't compliment each other.
