Interesting yet unremarkable read. The teenager goes missing and as we learn more about her disfuncional family we started to realize that the danger came from much closer than expected. It was an okay read, but like one week later I had to read the book description again to remember what the book was about in order to write this review.

Definitely a bit of a mystery, and a dark side of a small town. A bit traumatic to read, but I was also glued to every page.
I have such mixed emotions about this one. It was such a page-turner, but I feel like it fizzled in the end. The twist was disgusting. I'm not a prude, but geesh.
I liked the writing, but some of the events that took place in this book were unsettling. It just wasn’t what I was expecting this book to have. I guess with the younger characters I kinda thought it would be a YA thriller but it wasn’t. I should have read the tags before picking this book up.

DNF - 2022 is the year I stop continuing to read books out of a sense of obligation. I don’t like it, I stop reading. Life’s too short and the TBR is too long to devote more time to this.
