Wow. This book was definitely heavy. It was kinda annoying, the political/religious commentary was part of the story but it was very obvious and in your face, which I found tiring. I did really like the writing style and the way the narration perspectives switched. The mystery was definitely good, I could piece together some parts but I was still unsure of who did what. I also liked how it switched from then and now perspectives, that was another interesting aspect of the book. Not a bad read, but it is difficult.
