This is a nice good history of the development of a team that looks for long buried bodies. It includes information about forensics and tracking dogs.
More like 4.5 stars. Fascinating book and really interesting science and formation of this group. The last couple cases really dragged and were more about the case than the science.

I'd really give this about a 3.5/5 stars. The content was very interesting. I like that the newer version of the book has case updates. I thought the author went off on some tangents and the content could have been better organized.

Read for a bookclub, surprised that I enjoyed it! Appreciated the insight and focus of the interdisciplinary team who volunteer their time to help uncover the truth. It was interesting to learn how they approach a problem as well as the chapters that went deeper into particular cases.
So fascinating and perfect for those interested in true crime and science!
Excellent history of forensic science and the development of the Necrosearch group. The cases they present are fascinating. If you're a fan of true crime podcasts or true crime shows, you've probably heard of Necrosearch. This is their story, trials and triumphs, from start to today. The more recent updates are good so you know where the people have ended up. I enjoyed the narration on Audible.
